***SCAM ALERT***

It has been brought to our attention today that people are receiving calls stating that caller is a deputy with the Marion County Sheriff Department and that you are going to jail if you do not pay money for not showing up for court, jury duty, etc. This is not the Marion County Sheriff Department. The caller is then asking for payments to be made by going to either Wal-Mart or other stores to send the money. Please be aware again this IS NOT the Marion County Sheriff Department Deputies, and we will not ask you to go to these places to wire money.
